Kids can go wild at movie morning
Are the kids ready to run wild in the school holidays? Then don’t miss the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre’s Go Wild! Movie Morning on Thursday 30 June.
The Go Wild! Movie Morning kicks off at 8.30am and will feature the screening of Zootopia from 10.30am. Tickets are just $8 and include a variety of animal-themed activities as well as entry to see the movie. Children are also encouraged to embrace the Go Wild theme by dressing as their favourite animal.
The last school holiday event at the Moncrieff attracted an audience of over 600, so Moncrieff staff are excitedly preparing for another big crowd!
Activities Include
- screening of the movie Zootopia at 10:30am
- bookmark making
- colouring in stations
- creating an animal habitat with Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery
- a safari reading corner with Bundaberg Regional Library
- making monkey masks with Hinkler Hall of Aviation
- face painting (gold coin)
“The morning will also include Frivolous Faces Face Painting (gold coin) and a raffle donated by Toyworld Bundaberg.
“The first 200 children to arrive will also receive a free sample bag packed with goodies from the event partners.”
Cr Peters said all funds raised from the movie morning would be donated to IMPACT Community Services to support Family Mental Health Support Services by providing equine-assisted therapy through local organisation ‘Horses in Lives’.
Family Mental Health Support Manager at IMPACT Community Services Sharelle Steinback said IMPACT was most grateful to be the recipients of this cause saying it would be a great benefit to the youth that IMPACT support.
“Our mental health early intervention/prevention program, works with children up to 18 years and equine-assisted therapy would represent an ideal fun, safe and healing medium for this group of children,” Ms Steinback said.
“We recognise Bundaberg Regional Council and Moncrieff Entertainment Centre for supporting this event and the opportunity of a community connection with Nathalie from Horses in Lives, who does amazing work and we know the kids will benefit.”
