Must Do’s at Bargara Strawberry Fair

Must Do’s at Bargara Strawberry Fair
Everyone is super excited at my house because it’s almost Bargara Strawberry Fair time!! My kids love going each year, and it’s always an affordable fun day out. The Strawberry Fair is hosted by the Coral Coast Christian Church at Bargara where all things strawberry, family and community are embraced.
The Bargara Strawberry Fair is held in a large open grassed area just perfect for a crowd. Each year the Fair overflows with strawberries from local farms, boutique market stalls, kids activities and rides as well as live entertainment. Here is my list of must do’s at Bargara Strawberry Fair:
For the Kids:
- The Kids Kaleidoscope activities these are located in the building at the entrance and next to the Strawberry Cream Cafe. These activities are run by local School Chappies and a gold coin donation is requested upon entrance. Each year the Chappies have 5 to 6 different children’s activities promoting fine motor and creative skills. Last year the activities included wind chimes, strawberry loom bands, decorated bandanas, play dough and painting. The activities are always high quality and lots of help is on hand from the Chappies.
- Rides, there are usually about 8 to choose from and this year they will have dodgem cars, the strom rider, splatt sponge attack, 2 inflatable slides and the tea cups. Rides are $5 each, $26 for 2 hours unlimited rides or 10 rides for $40. Laser Tag and some farm yard animals will also be at the Fair this year.
- Lolly Chases, they have a few of these randomly throughout the day. A big strawberry runs around the Fair throwing lollies into the air and kids run behind chasing and picking up lollies.
- Pony Rides are always a favourite with my daughter. Rides are $5 each.
- Show Bags $5 each.
- Strawberries it’s not the Bargara Strawberry Fair if you don’t pull up a hay bail and devour an entire punnet of strawberries, my kids do every year without fail!
For the Adults:
- The Strawberry Cream Cafe who have yummy food and great coffee.
- Boutique Market Stalls
- Live Music
- Art Exhibition
- Devour your own punnet Strawberries!!
The only thing I really don’t like about the Fair is the parking! This year we are going to try catching the free bus so we can avoid having to find a park. The bus service details are:
