New Playground Elliott Heads

New Playground Elliott Heads
Imaginations to set sail
How awesome does this look! The Elliott Heads foreshore will soon be even more attractive with work underway today to upgrade the existing playground.
Bundaberg Regional Council Branch Manager Parks, Sports and Natural Areas Geordie Lascelles said the $75,000 project would see the existing playground replaced with brand new play equipment.
The old playground will be renewed with custom-designed play facilities suitable for children of a range of ages by local playground manufacturer Willplay. We love Willplay playgrounds. You can check out some of their work at Schuhkraft Park, Bargara, Boreham Park and Lions Park in Bundaberg and Childers.
Geordie reports that the park’s seaside location inspired a bit of a nautical theme, coming complete with portholes, sail, and a flagpole. Removal of the old playground is underway from today (March 29) with the new playground anticipated to be completed by May, weather permitting.
Geordie said the play facilities, which are located close to Council’s Elliott Heads kiosk and holiday park, would further Elliott Head’s reputation as one of the most family-friendly holiday destinations in the Wide Bay and we have to agree……we love a good playground.
