Riverview is located just 15 minutes from town on the pristine Elliott River. The scenery is breathtaking with clear blue waters. This is a perfect spot for a family picnic with plenty of room for games and any number of other great activities.

Details
There is a skate park for older children adjacent to the old skating rink. Younger kids can also have fun here if the park is not too busy. Pathways for bikes and scooters (shared with pedestrians) runs along the length of the Esplanade in a northerly direction to Mon Repos and in a southerly direction to Schuhkraft Park, and Bargara Turtle Park.

Russo Nature Park

Details
Russo Nature Park is an environmental reserve along Stockyard Creek near Childers, Queensland. The park contains a diversity of local native trees, shrubs and wildlife.
Stockyard Creek greets you at the entrance of the Park and follows you as you explore. We spent most of our time at the widest part of the creek about 200m in and across the bridge.

Splitters Farm is a caravan park & farm stay, 10 min drive north Bundaberg’s CBD.
A working cattle farm surrounded by lush tropical bushland & over 3kms of river frontage. The farm is also open 7days to day trippers offering self-guided farm tours.

BRAG Park

The Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery (BRAG) is a large multi-purpose visual arts facility located in the heart of Bundaberg City, and is within walking distance to major shopping centres, cafes, restaurants and Alexandra Park Zoo and Playground.
The Gallery showcases exhibitions drawn from local, state, national and international artists, and includes a gift shop, artist-in-residence apartment and workshop areas.
BRAG is located at 1 Barolin Street, Bundaberg. Entry is free. Open 10 to 5pm Monday to Friday |9 to 1pm Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays.

The township of Burnett Heads is located just 20 minutes from Bundaberg and hosts the local Port and Marina. Burnett Heads rests where the ocean meets the Burnett River.
There are two main beach areas at Burnett Heads, Oakes Beach and South Head. These beaches are very close with only a of 1/2 km separating them. Both areas can be choppy and if weather conditions are like this you need to be careful of rips. Both the Oaks and South Head are great at low tide for games, sand play, and searching for sea glass.

Alexandra Park Zoo

Alexandra Park Zoo and Playground is one of our favourite local parks to visit.
It is a beautifully shaded park with lots of trees and space to run! The kids love the zoo animals and the variety of playground equipment.
There are four areas to the park, the zoo, the playground, the rotundas and open space park.
