Riverview Elliott River near Elliott Heads
Riverview Elliott River Waterway
Riverview is located just 15 minutes from town on the pristine Elliott River. The scenery is breathtaking with clear blue waters. The photos I have taken really do not do this place justice. This is a perfect spot for a family picnic with plenty of room for games and any number of other great activities.
Riverview main attractions:
Playground and Shelter
There is a good sized playground with swings, a fort and seesaw. There is also a great sheltered area with picnic tables, 2 bbqs and toilets.
Park
The park area is massive, I’m guessing a good 1km long with plenty of shaded trees, a perfect spot for a picnic, game of footy or cricket.
Walking Track
The Riverview Enviornmental Reserve is situated at the end of the park area and hosts 3 easy bush walking tracks all suitable for kids with the longest 1.2km return.
Beach area
A small sandy beach area is available down stream from the boat ramp at low tide prefect for littlies. Our Wide Bay Kids enjoyed playing in the rocks around the jetty at about 1/2 tide.
Floating Jetty
A floating jetty is situated right next to the boat ramp. Perfect for fishing with kids around 8 years and over.
Boat Ramp
A great well maintained boat ramp with plenty of trailer parking is also available.

Amazing views, playground, sheltered tables, bbq’s, toilets, boat ramp, floating jetty, walking tracks, massive park area, small beach.
What’s missing
Nothing really, the water does get deep quickly so as always vigilance with kids around water applies.
