Paper Christmas Tree Craft
Paper Christmas Tree Craft
One of our local mums Chantal Bewick saw this paper Christmas tree over at Ruby and the Dodo and shared it with us. I totally fell in love with it as soon as I saw it…..so much so that we ended up making it at Playgroup as part of our Christmas craft session. Here is how you can make your own:
What you need:
coloured paper
pencil
scissors
glue
card stock
What you do:
Firstly decide what you are going to make our of your card stock…..a card, a wall hanging or a special gift
Draw a rough outline of your tree shape on the card stock
Cut paper into 1 1/2 cm strips
Then cut those strips at varying lengths to fit within your tree shape
Also cut out a star for the top and a tree trunk for the bottom
Have your Wide Bay Kids glue the strips, star and tree trunk onto the tree shape
You could also decorate the tree with mini pom poms, beads, or glitter or have the kids rip the paper for a different effect.
