Pocket Guide Gets Backing
Pocket Guide Gets Backing
Our Wide Bay Kids School Holiday Guide has received a grant in the latest round of Community Grants Funding from Bundaberg Regional Council.
The funding secured from Bundaberg Regional Council will assist in covering the costs of producing the publication.
The printed guide, which will be known as the “Bundaberg School Holiday Pocket Guide” will be produced and circulated around the Bundaberg Region and will provide information about events, activities, and attractions happening during school holidays in June, September and December this year.
Since starting our Wide Bay Kids website in 2012 we have been heavily involved in promoting events and activities across the Wide Bay. We saw the need to produce a free local Bundaberg publication that was available both in print and online.
With 10,000 copies of the guide being circulated each school holiday period, locals can grab their own copies from schools, cafes, tourist attractions, service centres and shops. The guide will also be distributed through letterbox deliveries to ensure members of the community will have the best opportunity to access the information.
Wide Bay Kids will be consulting with the community about what they would like to see included in the guide. We would like to invite community members and event organisers to submit events and activities via our website. It’s free to promote your event so we want to encourage everyone to participate”.
To further assist with the cost of producing the guide a small number of advertising spaces will be available to businesses, community organisations and event organisers. To advertise within the Bundaberg School Holiday Pocket Guide promoters need to contact us as soon as possible. Space is limited and time is running out to be included in the June Guide.
