Put Locals First

Put Locals First
Federal Member for Hinkler Keith Pitt has launched an exciting campaign, encouraging people across the Wide Bay Burnett region to put locals first.
The campaign will take place in a multimedia form and will run across social media as well as local television for the next month. The #bundybayandbush and #puttinglocalsfirst will promote the benefits of shopping locally in the lead up to Christmas.
Like many of us Mr Pitt wants to create opportunities for locals. Of course the best way we can do that is to buy local, hire local, and eat locally and to volunteer and join local organisations or clubs.
Mr Pitt believes it is important that we tell everyone how great our region is, to talk it up and encourage people to visit.
By joining in the campaign, you will be in with a chance to win a range of local goodies. Just go to Mr Pitts Facebook page and share a photograph that celebrates what you love most about living in our region or tell him in 25 words or less about a good experience you’ve had with a local business, sporting club or service provider. Make sure you tag the business and use the hashtags #bundybayandbush and #puttinglocalsfirst.
The winners will be announced on Mr Pitt’s Facebook page on December 22.
