How to make Ribbon Dance Rings

How to make Ribbon Dance Rings
Even boys can have fun with Ribbon Dance Rings! They are so very easy to make. My boys have had so much fun with these that I thought I would share with you how to make your own at home.
What you need:
- Curtain Rings
- 7 lengths of different coloured ribbon
- Small bells (optional)
- Needle and thread
What you do:
- Tie the lengths of ribbon to the ring.
- If using small bells (they really do make a lovely touch), sew one or two to a length of ribbon.
This is a great activity to make with kids. My boys really loved tying to tie the knots.
Other uses for your Ribbon Dance Rings:
- Gymnastics or ribbon dancing.
- Great as decorations at a birthday party and then can be taken home as a thank you gift.
- Tiggy (pop the ribbon ring in the children’s pockets, kids need to grab the ribbon to be tagged).
- Create shapes and patterns in the air
- Use as a “batton” in a relay race
