During the month of October, Wide Bay Kids are celebrating 10 years of Community Impact by hosting and co-hosting several events across the region. We want to recognise the partnerships and the community that have supported us during our first 10 years.

Who's Who in the Zoo
In celebration of our 10 years in the Bundaberg community we have partnered with Family & Baby Network to co-host this event Who’s Who in the Zoo for the Bundaberg Community Business Sector.

Happy Hearts - Free Workshop
Happy Hearts Hub - Make Happy Hearts with Us!

Make Happy Hearts with us! We will be crafting our way to 250 Hearts for Children's Week. Everyone is invited to join us to make Happy Hearts. Happy Hearts are handmade heart shaped fabric 'gifts', with a simple purpose of spreading joy. Joy to those who make them, those who gift them and those who receive them.
Please join us to help make 250 hearts which will be circulated across the Bundaberg region during Children's Week to help spread joy and happiness. Drop in any time between 1pm and 4pm, make one heart or many. Bookings are essential. Register now to attend.
Under 8's Activities
We are celebrating with the Under 8's at Norville State Primary School. The Prep to Year 3 students and the ECDP, local kindergartens and playgroup families are invited to this school community event.
There will be local services with activities, music and games all free for the families to enjoy in a safe and comfortable environment.

Bundaberg’s Australia’s Biggest Quiz
This is a FREE community event for everyone to attempt a Guinness World Record.
Australia's biggest quiz will attempt a world record for the largest ever trivia event staged across multiple venues. Communities from each state and territory will come together for a night of fun, record breaking trivia.

Free Community Event
Paint Gin Gin REaD -Children’s Week
Paint Gin Gin REaD is an early literacy community program that encourages the whole community to read, talk, sing, rhyme, draw and move with children from birth, so that they will be ready to read, write and actively engage at school and in community life. The Early Years Network facilitates Paint Gin Gin REaD and meets regularly to discuss ways to promote early literacy.
We will be celebrating the fourth birthdays of our Paint Gin Gin REaD reading mascots, the crocodile twins. Snappy and Toothy hatched from the Reading Egg in 2018 after local children read, sang, rhymed and talked to it to help it grow.
To help celebrate their birthdays you are invited to take part in providing a fun, engaging experience for children and families based on happy, health children and a birthday theme that supports the message of Paint Gin Gin REaD and the Children’s Week theme of ‘All children have the right to a standard of living that supports their wellbeing and healthy development’. The activities are aimed at children aged 0 – 8 years. Lots of reading and lots of fun!
