Looking for a wholesome and adventure-filled way for your kids to spend the school holidays? Terra Tribe Farm is running an exciting Winter School Holiday Program from 1 to 11 July 2025, with half-day and full-day workshops designed to connect children with nature through creativity, practical skills, and farm life fun.
Perfect for kids aged 5 and up (and a special session for 3–6 year olds), each day offers a unique themed experience. Sessions include farm chores, natural crafting, cooking, survival skills, and even woodworking — all guided by friendly instructors in a safe outdoor setting.
Here’s the full workshop schedule:
Tuesday 1 July – Birdhouses & Tool Caddies
🕘 9am–12pm | Ages 5+ | Half Day
Kids will learn basic woodworking skills to build and decorate their own birdhouse or tool caddy. The day includes Anzac biscuits for morning tea and plenty of time to connect and share stories with fellow young builders.
Wednesday 2 July – Archery Adventures + Firey Treats
🕘 9am–12pm | Ages 5+ | Half Day
Children will make their own wooden bows, arrows, and spears, then test their skills before enjoying popcorn and pancakes cooked over the fire.
Thursday 3 July – Jammin’ & Baking Bonanza
🕘 9am–12pm | Ages 5+ | Half Day
A sweet combo of jam-making and bread-baking, paired with feeding animals and hands-on homestead fun. Kids will create and enjoy their own baked goods.
Friday 4 July – Farmers for a Day
🕘 9am–4pm | Ages 5+ | Full Day
From milking cows and feeding animals to planting gardens, making herb soap, and creating focaccia art, this day is packed with real farm experiences and creative food fun.
Monday 7 July – Little Farmers Adventure
🕘 9.30am–12pm | Ages 3–6 | Half Day
This gentle farm experience includes milking a cow, feeding pigs, chickens, and goats, and making butter for morning scones — all tailored for little hands.
Tuesday 8 July – Herb & Art Extravaganza
🕘 9am–12pm | Ages 5+ | Half Day
Kids will craft mosaic stepping stones and herbal soaps, then decorate and enjoy focaccia bread as morning tea, made with fragrant herbs from the farm.
Wednesday 9 July – Woodwork Wonders
🕘 9am–4pm | Ages 5+ | Full Day
A creative day of building stools, baskets, or tool caddies with guidance from instructors. Kids will enjoy scones, jam, and potatoes cooked over the fire, ending with s’mores and stories.
Thursday 10 July – Bush Survival Skills
🕘 9am–4pm | Ages 5+ | Full Day
Kids will learn shelter building, spear making, and outdoor cooking. Activities include pancakes for morning tea, a hearty campfire lunch, and s’mores in the afternoon.
Tuesday 9 – Thursday 11 July – 3 Day Camp
🕘 9am–4pm Daily | Ages 5+ | Recurring
Three days of mixed full-day activities in a camp-style format. Perfect for kids who want to do it all!
