3 Valentines Day Kids Activities

3 Valentines Day Kids Activities
If you are looking for Valentine crafts and activities, look no further!! We’ve made and found these 3 Valentines Day kids activities that we know your kids will love them! How do we know they will love them, well because we’ve tested them out on some Wide Bay Kids at our Playgroup! Take a look at how easy these 3 activities are to make.
1. Cardboard Roll Stamping
All you need for this one is a toilet roll or paper towel roll, red paint and your canvass (paper, card etc). Placing your tongue to the side of your mouth, and tilting your head to the right….squeeze your cardboard roll into a heart shape. It’s really quite easy! Lightly press your heart into some red paint and stamp your canvass. Voila!
2. Hanging Heart Collage
Recycle fabric to create this beautiful abstract hanging heart collage. Use material off cuts or old clothes – a variety of fabrics looks best. Start by cutting up the fabric into small shapes. You don’t need to be perfect with the cutting. The more oddly shaped the better! Children who are confident with scissors can help with this part, or you can have it already prepared. Using our Valentines Heart Printable cut out a number of heart shapes to cardboard (cereal boxes area great for craft!). Use glue to paste the fabric pieces onto the heart shape, trimming the edges. Place a hole in the top and secure a piece of ribbon. Hang from door handles or picture hooks.
3. Valentines Sensory Tub
This one does take more time to prepare but I’ve found that kids can have so much fun with sensory tubs, it’s worth it! First you will need to colour some rice. Click here to find out how. Then, go for a hunt around the house to find some fun and interesting bits and pieces to add to the tub. You want things children will be able to dig and pour with. Things they can hide and discover within the tub. In this tub I added some feathers, flowers, measuring cups, bowls, spoons, glitter and sequins.
Which one of our 3 Valentines Day kids activities do you think your little one will like the most?
