Weetbix Get Active School Holiday Tennis Clinic

School holidays have a way of sneaking up, and by day two most parents are on the hunt for something that gets the kids outside, moving, and off their screens for a while. If tennis has ever been on your child's list of things to try, the September holidays offer a simple, low-pressure way to give it a go.
The Weetbix Get Active School Holiday Tennis Clinic runs across three mornings and afternoons on Tuesday 22, Wednesday 23 and Thursday 24 September at the Rotary Park Tennis Complex, home of the Bundaberg & District Junior Tennis Association. Junior beginners aged 5 to 13 run from 8:30am to 10:30am, while high school, intermediate and advanced players are welcome from 2:30pm to 5:00pm. The clinic is run by Bundaberg Tennis Academy's professional coaches, Kevin Banner and Murray Whitbread, and family discounts apply across both sessions. Bookings are essential, so it's worth getting in early to lock in a spot.
A few mornings or afternoons of tennis do more than fill in holiday time. Kids pick up hand-eye coordination and fitness, but they also get practice taking turns, handling a bit of friendly competition, and sticking with something that's a little bit hard at first. For families, it's a chance to try a new activity without a big commitment, meet other local kids, and get everyone outdoors during a break that can otherwise turn into a lot of indoor downtime.
