There are two really great FREE family friendly events on in Bundaberg this New Year’s Eve, one in town at Anzac Park and the other at Nielsons Park, Bargara. Both will feature fireworks displays.

Bundy Bowl and Leisure Centre will also host a kids lock-in party for those who would like to enjoy some adult time.  Most Clubs and Pubs around town will hold special New Year’s Eve Celebrations.  Check will your local club to see what they have on.

This is a great event, we’ve been the last 2 years running and we had a blast!  The new year’s eve spectacular will again be held at Anzac Park in Quay Street from 5pm. You can join in the carnival atmosphere with stallholders, food vendors, amusement rides and entertainment on offer.

The evening includes two fireworks displays one at 8:30pm and another at midnight. We’ve only ever stayed for the earlier display which have been spectacular!

The fireworks are launched from the Burnett River Traffic Bridge, making Anzac Park, Lions Park, the Riverwalk or the Burnett River if you have a boat, as the perfect locations to view.

Don’t forget to bring a picnic rug or chair, jumper and the insect repellent.

Bundy Bowl and Leisure Complex will host a New Year’s Eve Kids Lock-in Party on the evening of the 31st December.  This party is for children aged 6 to 13 years and runs from 8:30pm to 12:30am.

Tickets are $35 per child and are limited.  Tickets purchased before 31st December receive an extra $5 bonus arcade tokens.  Kids get free use of the entire Leisure Centre for 4 hours of fun.

The party is fully supervised with no adults admitted, no alcohol, children are signed in/out, and not allowed to leave the building.

The Infants’ Friend Bargara New Years Eve Fireworks are now an annual signature family event located at Nielson Park, Bargara.

This year the fireworks will be at Nielson Park, Bargara, in partnership with the Bundaberg Surf Lifesaving Club and the focus is on creating a safe, family-friendly, and alcohol-free event.

A range of food and drink stalls will be available as well as live entertainment and free children’s activities.

The fireworks will be the highlight of the evening and will be held at 9:30pm and midnight with great viewing from Nielson  Park and laong the shoreline
