A little planning ahead of this year’s Childers Festival could see you nabbing a prime parking spot or better yet, not having to drive at all!
Bundaberg Regional Council’s Community Services portfolio spokesperson Cr Judy Peters said with 40,000 people descending on Childers on Festival Day, knowing where the available parking options were located before heading to Childers could make your trip much easier.
Parking Options
FREE parking at the Childers Showground with a courtesy shuttlebus to the Festival
Isis State High School $5
St Josephs School $10
Disabled parking permit holders parking on the corner of Crescent and Lord Streets
Bundaberg Shuttlebus Service (Sunday July 26 only)
Collection Points:
- Bundaberg Post Office (Bus Stop between Post Office and BRAG) leaves 8am
- Sugarland (Bus Stop outside Sugarland Shopping Town on Takalvan Street) leaves 8am
- Bargara (Bus Stop Council’s Service Centre, Hughes Road) leaves 7:45am
- All buses leave Childers for the return trip at 3:30pm
