Bundaberg Child Protection Week Award Nomination 2022
The purpose of the award is to acknowledge the significant contributions made by individuals, groups, organisations, services or businesses who work in the child and family sector in the Bundaberg Regional community.
The Award recognise the efforts and dedication of the nominee/s to build and strengthen the community’s awareness of child protection and making it “everybody’s business” during 2021/2022. The winner will be able to display their award, consisting of a unique trophy sculpted by local artist John Olsen, as a means of highlighting their participation in the valuable work associated with the care and protection of children and the support of families as a whole.
These awards are open to anyone working with children and families that promote the safety of children. Self-nominations are encouraged. This may also include:
• individuals
• organisations / services
• businesses
• sporting clubs
• service clubs
The eligibility criteria are:
• The nominee’s achievements must be consistent with the selection criteria outlined above;
• The nominee must have shown ongoing dedication to the safety of children and families in our community;
• The individual, group/organization/service/business achievements must have taken place within the Bundaberg Region.
An independent panel of judges will assess and award the successful nominees
Nomination Process
Nominations close on Friday 12th of August.
The Awards will be announced and presented at the Child Protection Week Dinner on Friday 9th September 2022 at Bundaberg Rowers Club.
Please follow the steps below when making a nomination:
1. Complete the attached nomination form - below.
2. Provide information on the nominee’s achievements. This information should address the eligibility and nomination criteria as outlined above.
3. Submit the nomination form via email to: Ben Porter (bporter@phoenixhouse.com.au) advise your referees of the nomination in case the judges contact them.
