EmpowerHER Girls Mentoring Program

Growing up can throw a lot at a young girl's confidence, from friendship dramas to finding her place at school. A new mentoring program through Youth 360 is offering local girls a safe, supportive space to work through those challenges together, with a small group and a set weekly time to check in.

EmpowerHER is a girls mentoring program running each Tuesday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm at Youth 360, 7 Quinn St, Kepnock, starting 13 October and running through to 1 December 2026. Sessions offer a safe space for real conversations, with a focus on building confidence, growing resilience, making connections and discovering potential. Spaces are limited to 15 girls, and five have already been filled, so an expression of interest sooner rather than later is recommended. Referrals can be made using the EOI & Referral Form, which covers the young person's details, referral reasons and any support needs, and requires parent or carer consent.

Programs like this give girls a chance to be heard in a space built just for them, away from the usual pressures of school and home. Building confidence and resilience early on can make a real difference to how young people handle challenges down the track, and having a consistent group and mentor to turn to each week helps create a genuine sense of belonging. It's a practical, low-key way for girls to feel supported and stronger together.
