IMPACT Pop-up Playgroup – Free Outdoor Fun for Little Kids at Boreham Park

IMPACT Community Services’ Pop-up Playgroup is back for the winter school holidays, offering a free and friendly morning at Boreham Park for families with children aged from birth to school age.
The pop-up playgroup will be held on Thursday 9 July, from 9am to 11am, at Boreham Park, Avenell Street South Bundaberg. It’s open to families with children aged 0 to school age, and there is no cost to attend. No bookings are necessary, so families can simply come along on the day.
The first 50 children to sign in will receive a free gift. Families will also have the chance to catch up with IMPACT’s Early Childhood Coordinator, as well as the Positive Start, Pathways to Early Learning & Development, Family Mental Health and Foundations for Life teams. It’s a relaxed outdoor session with support, connection and play all in one place.
Playgroups are valuable because they support children and families in simple, practical ways. For children, outdoor play helps with movement, confidence, social skills and early learning. For parents and carers, it can be reassuring to meet local support workers, ask questions and find out what help is available in the community. These informal connections can be especially helpful during the early years, when families are often looking for guidance, routine and a friendly place to belong.
A free local activity like this also helps make school holidays easier. It gives families an affordable morning out, encourages children to play with others, and helps build stronger links between local services and the families who may need them.
