Welcome Baby Celebration Bundaberg Region 2026
Welcoming a new baby is a big moment for any family, and it can feel even more special when the wider community shares in that welcome too. The Welcome Baby Celebration 2026 is a Bundaberg Regional Council event that gives local families a chance to celebrate their little ones, connect with other parents and carers, and feel part of the community. With events planned across Bundaberg, it’s designed to be accessible for families across the region.
The annual Welcome Baby Celebration is an opportunity for the Bundaberg Region to officially welcome babies into the community. To mark the occasion, babies receive a Baby Loves Bundaberg pack, which includes a small gift from Council, a Mayor-signed certificate, and goodies provided by Family and Baby Network leaders.
The 2026 theme is Get Ready with Birdie, supporting children and families to get ready for and get through natural disasters and disruptive events.
Events like this are a lovely way to help families feel seen and supported during the early years. For new parents and carers, it can be a chance to meet other local families, learn about helpful services, and celebrate a milestone in a gentle, community-focused way. The Get Ready with Birdie theme also adds a practical layer, helping families start conversations about safety, preparation and resilience in a way that feels friendly and age-appropriate.
