Mini-Makers: Fabric Vessels at Childers and Bundaberg Arts Space

Mini-Makers: Fabric Vessels – Childers & Bundaberg
Get creative these Spring School Holidays with Mini-Makers: Fabric Vessels, a free hands-on art workshop for children aged 6–12 years, with sessions being held in both Childers and Bundaberg.
Young artists will have the chance to create their own fabric vessel using a range of upcycled materials. Inspired by artworks currently on display at the galleries, the workshops introduce children to tactile art and collage while encouraging creativity, design and hands-on making.
During the workshop, children will explore different textures and materials while developing their scissor skills, creative thinking and eye for design. They’ll sculpt their own unique fabric vessel to take home, where it can be used, displayed or given to someone special as a handmade gift.
The Childers Arts Space session will be held on Monday 21 September and is inspired by the artworks featured in Here + Now 2026.
Families in Bundaberg can also join in the fun at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery, with sessions on Tuesday 22 September and Wednesday 30 September. The Bundaberg workshops take inspiration from the artworks on show in Shifting Ground and A Wearable Canvas.
All sessions are free, but places are limited and bookings are required.
