We are Hiring Content Creators

Wide Bay Kids is looking for creative locals to join the team as Content Creators on a contract basis. This opportunity is open to people who enjoy storytelling and want to create content that connects with families and the wider community across the Bundaberg region. Whether it’s filming videos, writing articles, building brand content or working with influencers, this role is about sharing real stories that reflect what’s happening locally.
If you’re someone who is creative, curious and enjoys bringing ideas to life, this could be a great fit. The role offers flexibility and the chance to contribute in areas that match your strengths, while building your skills and portfolio along the way.
Location: Bundaberg Region
Role Type: Contract / Freelance
Areas: Video, Articles, Branding, Influencer
Start: Flexible
This role will focus on creating content for Wide Bay Kids programs and Bundaberg-related media. That means capturing local events, highlighting community initiatives, sharing stories from families, and showcasing what’s happening across the region. The content created will help people stay informed, feel connected, and discover opportunities available to them.
Content Creators will have the chance to work across different formats depending on their interests. This could include filming and editing videos, writing articles for the website, contributing to social media content, or collaborating with local ambassadors and organisations. The focus is on creating content that feels real, relevant and useful to the community.
This is contract work, making it suitable for freelancers, creatives, students or anyone looking for flexible work that fits around other commitments. Experience is helpful but not essential. What matters most is your ability to tell a story, bring ideas forward and follow through on creating content.
If you’ve got ideas and want to be part of something that supports and celebrates the Bundaberg community, applications are now open.
