Abracadabra Family Magic Show at the Moncrieff

A magic show is one of those outings that tends to work for the whole family, with something to keep younger kids watching and enough cleverness to keep the adults guessing. This January, a family magic show is coming to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre, just as the school holidays are winding down.
Abracadabra is on Sunday 24 January 2027 from 11am to 12pm at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre. Starring magician Anthony Street, the 60-minute show features big illusions, plenty of audience interaction and lots of laughs, with moments designed to get the whole crowd involved. It's pitched as a family outing, with surprises for kids and adults alike. Please note the show includes haze, which is worth knowing about if anyone in your family is sensitive to it. Tickets are available through the Moncrieff.
Live shows like this give kids a chance to experience theatre in a way that's easy to follow and keeps them engaged. Watching a magic trick unfold in front of you, and having a chance to join in, can spark curiosity and plenty of conversation on the drive home. For parents and carers, a one-hour morning show is an easy length for younger children, and a good option for the last stretch of the holidays. It's also a simple way to spend time together as a family, laughing at the same things and sharing the surprise when a trick works.
