Artisan Twilight Christmas Markets at Gallery Park

An evening stroll through a market, with music in the background and the Christmas lights coming on, is a nice way to ease into December. The Artisan Twilight Christmas Markets are being held at Gallery Park as part of the Pageant of Lights, giving locals a chance to browse handmade gifts and meet the people who make them.
The markets are on Thursday 3 December 2026 from 5:30pm to 9pm at Gallery Park, next to the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery at 1 Barolin Street. Stallholders include local artists and makers, with handmade works ranging from artwork to handcrafted gifts. Live music will play in the background while visitors wander through, and there's a chance to chat with the makers about how their pieces are made. The evening is part of the Pageant of Lights, so it can easily be combined with a look at the rest of the festive displays.
Markets like this are a practical way to find Christmas gifts with a bit more thought behind them, while supporting local artists and small makers directly. For families, a twilight market is also a relaxed outing, with plenty to look at and no need to rush, and the later start means the heat of the day has usually passed. It's a chance for kids to see how handmade things are created, and for the community to connect with the creative people in its own backyard. With the Pageant of Lights on, it's also an easy way to make an evening of it.
