Queens Park Bundaberg

Queens Park Bundaberg
Queens Park Bundaberg is a large park located on the southern bank of the Burnett River. The park is a perfect spot for picnics, nature play and bike riding.
What’s there
Picnic areas
There are lots and lots of places to picnic within the park with many benches, chairs and tables scattered throughout. I was quite surprised by just how many there were.
There are a few sheltered areas and a bbq. There is so much shade within the park its not hard to find a nice spot.
Tracks
There is a one way road which runs around the perimeter of the park. There are also great tracks for walking or riding bikes scattered throughout.
Playground
The playground equipment consists of a swing set, but there are plenty of large trees and rocks to climb over to keep the kids entertained.
Creek
O’Connell Creek winds its way through the park and maybe a good spot to try lobbying.
What’s missing and what we think
The only toilet is located at the entrance of the Park in Hope Street and is quite a walk back too.
If you’re after a park with lots of play equipment this is not the park for you, but if you’re after a nature play experience this is definitely a good spot to come. Make sure you pack the insect repellent.
How to get there
There is now only one entrance to the park via Hope Street. Enter the park and then head left and follow the one way road around.
