The Bookshop Cage, located in the heart of the Bundaberg CBD and opposite Target, is a book exchange that also buys and sells pre-loved books.
The bookstore regularly hosts book signings, launches, and Opening Night events for their art gallery. The walls of the shop are adorned with locally created art pieces, and the gallery page provides information on upcoming exhibitions and how to get involved.
In the back lounge area, visitors can explore a fantastic collection of pre-owned records. The bookstore searches high and low for vinyl and welcomes visitors to sell their own collections.

The bookstore offers a Kids Club program designed to encourage young readers and support family budgets. The program operates like a library, allowing children to bring in up to 5 books each visit and exchange them for a fresh stack of books from the kids' section. In the event that a child cannot find something that interests them, the bookstore will create a Book Credit Account for them to use on their next visit.
The bookstore is dedicated to promoting reading and helping families access books. Those with questions about the Kids Club program are encouraged to contact the store or bring a stack of kids' books and their young bookworm to the store.

Meet 'Great Egg-spectations' Artist: Kate Taylor
Kate Taylor, from Black Kat Media, is an emerging young artist currently based in Bargara.
She primarily works with acrylics and is a passionate photographer. Kate also creates accessories from up-cycled children’s toys which are available from 'The Book Boutique Bundaberg'. Kate is currently studying for a 'Diploma of Visual Arts' at CQUniversity.
The inspiration for this egg came from 'The Book Boutique Bundaberg', which like the store, includes various well-loved book titles, plants and coffee.
