On September 10, 2024, the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct came alive with the vibrant energy of Options Day, a community-focused event designed to foster inclusion, diversity, and equity. Led by Wide Bay Kids Community Inc, in collaboration with the All Abilities Alliance (AAA) and the Bundaberg Neighbourhood Centre, the event created a dynamic space for connection between individuals, service providers, social groups, and sporting clubs.
Empowering Connection and Inclusion
Options Day aimed to empower individuals, especially those with disabilities, by reducing isolation and creating meaningful community connections. Through strong partnerships between the disability, health, and community sectors, the event prioritized accessibility and inclusivity in its planning and execution.
Key collaborators, including the All Abilities Alliance, provided valuable insights and feedback to ensure the event met community needs. Professional event coordinators Event Networx worked closely with stakeholders to deliver a seamless and impactful event, marked by thoughtful accessibility and operational excellence.

- Collaborative Launches: Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service unveiled the Bundaberg Disability Plan 2024–2027, while the Inclusive Tourism Project was introduced by Welcome to Bundaberg.
