Pump Track, Park & Playground
The Bundaberg pump track is a favourite for our Wide Bay Kids. The track adjoins a lovely shady playground with lots of space to picnic, or play games of cricket or footy!
This is going to be an awesome spot for families with both big and little kids being catered for in the one spot.
Alexandra Park Zoo & Playground
Alexandra Park Zoo and Playground is one of our favourite local parks to visit. A beautifully shaded park with lots of space! Our Wide Bay Kids love the zoo animals and the great variety of playground equipment suitable for kids of all ages.
Boreham Park
Boreham Park and Playground also known as the monorail park. This park is beautifully shaded with lots and lots of space! There are 5 fantastic areas to the park: the monorail, the flying fox, the playgrounds, the mini bmx tracks and the open spaced areas. This park is fantastic for kids and adults of all ages with something to suit everyone and is popular with us locals after school and on weekends.
Lake Ellen
It’s not hard to spend a few hours at Lake Ellen Park. This large park has equipment catering for children of all ages and abilities. We love going here in the cooler months with friends. We set up a picnic rug in a sunny central position and let the kids go for it. This park has 4 main areas: the playgrounds, bike and scooter tracks and lake and walking tracks.
Bundaberg Botanic Gardens
The Bundaberg Botanic Gardens are a fabulous place to explore with kids. Set on 27 hectares there is plenty of room to walk, run, scoot, skate, ride bikes and enjoy being in the great outdoors. The gardens have 4 main areas; the playground, the gardens, boardwalk and lake, the steam train rides, the cafe and museums.
Queens Park
Queens Park Bundaberg is a large shady park and the perfect spot for picnics, bike riding and a true nature play experience. There are plenty of benches and table sets scattered as well as bbq’s scattered throughout the park.
Turtle Park Bargara
The Turtle Park Bargara is positioned on the Esplanade of Bargara Beach and is a popular picnic spot with us locals. The park and playground are very interactive and adjoin a rocky beach foreshore, with local Cafes directly across the road.
Schuhkraft Park
Schuhkraft Park is located on the foreshore of Bargara Beach and hidden along the Esplanade path in a lush grassy shaded area. The park has a great low ropes course, exercise station, and a field including soccer nets. This park is great for older kids and prefect for picnics by the seaside
Nielsons Beach Park & Playground
Nielsons Beach Park and Playground is located seaside on the Esplanade at Bargara and is fabulous for kids of all ages. Adjoining the playground is the old skating rink , the local skate park, and an outdoor half court basketball and tennis courts. Lots of paths suitable for bikes, prams, skates and scooters
Christsen Park & Playground
Christsen Park and Playground Bargara is located on the Esplanade of Bargara right next to the Basin swimming area. Great park for all ages from the very young to adults.Great paths, playground, and picnic areas.
Beach Parks
Burnett Heads, Moore Park, Innes Park and Elliott Heads all have great playgrounds along their foreshores. Head to the Esplanades of these beach areas to explore them. Burnett Heads, Innes Park and Moore Park all have skate parks with Elliott Heads and Innes Park also hosting volleyball courts.
