Bundaberg Welcome Baby Celebration Event
The Welcome Baby Celebration Ceremony is an opportunity for families to have their baby formally introduced and welcomed into the Bundaberg Community.
For parents of new arrivals, the ceremony provides a special family keepsake in the form of a beautiful commemorative certificate. It is also a lovely day out for the entire family as siblings, grandparents and other family members are encouraged to attend.
The 2020 celebrations will take place on Thursday, 2nd July with each participating baby will receive a Babies Love’s Bundaberg Pack and an acknowledgement certificate signed and presented by Bundaberg’s Mayor.
Again in 2020, Council is combining the Welcome Baby Celebration with the Flourish Family Fun Day and Teddy Bear’s Picnic. This means that lots of children’s activities will be held making the morning a wonderful family event!
Key information for parents or expecting parents wanting to register:
- You should be available on Thursday 2 July, 2020
- Participating babies are limited to 150
- Your child must be 15 months or younger on the day of the event
- You must be a resident of the Bundaberg Region

Flourish Family Fun Day
Flourish Family Fun Day is an annual school holiday celebration acknowledging the diversity of families in our region. This free family friendly event provides entertainment, information stalls and activities for all the family to enjoy.
The Teddy Bears Parade is an an additional attraction for our regions smallest members of the community with parents, grandparents and the broader family support. Keep an eye out for Fred the Flourish Family Fun Day Bear who heads up the fun.
