Family Fun on a Budget in Bundaberg

Family Fun on a Budget in Bundaberg
Finding something inexpensive and fun for the whole family to enjoy can sometimes be a struggle, but all it takes is a bit of inspiration. Getting the whole family involved in planning a family day creates endless possibilities. I love all things family fun on a budget!
It's hard to keep everyone happy, especially when you have multiple children of varying ages. Ask everyone to have input in planning a family day out and take turns in visiting places
We are so lucky here in Bundaberg, we have many beautiful places to visit all year round. My family loves being a tourist in our home town. You can:
- head to one of our coastal communities like Moore Park, Burnett Heads or Woodgate.
- take a trip the Botanical Gardens on a Sunday and ride the steam train, feed the ducks in the pond and take a walk around the gardens.
- try Snakes Downunder in Childers. It is only 30 minutes from Bundaberg and has experiences and activities on throughout the day and the kids can learn about our native animals while having fun.
- if transport is a problem some physical activity or public transport could add to the experience. Think about car pooling, walking, riding or taking a bus ride somewhere.

Our Favourite Things to Do in Bundaberg
Some of my families favourite things to do are:
- Play board games outdoors. We head to a local park for a change in scenery.
- Visit Bundaberg Regional Libraries and Art Galleries to chill out.
- Visit the skate park at Nielsons Beach.
- Take our bikes to the BMX track at Boreham Park. This is a great local park that caters to children of all ages. Or visit the Pump Track at Avoca.
- Meet friends for a play date and picnic in one of our great parks and playgrounds.

- Organise a game of cricket or football with friends.
- Go bush walking or exploring the rock pools on the beach at low tide.

AND I could keep on going but I'm sure this has given you some inspiration.
If all else fails you can of course always check out our things to do page which is jam packed with more ideas. Visit our What's on Calendar to view what events are on now across our region. What is your families favourite day out activity?
